If you chose the skin you wear.
Perhaps I could condemn you for it.
If I chose mine perhaps you could do the same, and shun me for it.
Then we could hate each other for skins we could change.
Our histories we could erase.
But we were born this way, diverse.
A glorious reflection of the makers mind.
A brilliance in his thinking.
A single creature, with several arrays of being.
How could a rainbow so beautiful,
breed something so sinister.
Hold so much hate for next ray of color.
We hate for mistakes.
Hold onto fears.
Use them as reasons to be unforgiving.
How could a difference so beautiful,
Cause so much strife.
How could it draw a line in the sand.
Never to be crossed.
Build walls never to be broken.
Many pains unspoken.
Is this the world we leave behind.
Fueled by hatred.
All for a beautiful rainbow.
